Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day

This is my first time participating in Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day. February may not be the best month for a Wisconsin gardener to join in as there's not a bloom to be found in my yard or inside my house, but then I guess it depends on your definition of the word bloom. I took a walk in the snow and found this ornamental grass waving me over to take her picture. I believe she's named Miscanthus Sinensis/Morning Light. Beautiful silvery blooms in the summer and rich gold-colored foliage in the fall.

Thank you to Carol at http://maydreamsgardens.blogspot.com/ for making GBBD possible. I've been checking in every month for quite some time now and enjoy it very much.

  2. The plumes on the grass are lovely, and they count. I am sure you will have more to share in the coming months.

  3. I guess it is kind of brave to start your bloom day tradition in February, but I did that! It makes it easy to post and get the hang of it before the major bloom days of spring.

    Thanks for joining in!

  4. I think that sharing one thing above the ground-that has interest & is pretty-is worth sharing! Especially when you live where it's cold:-) I don't have any ornamental grasses but I'm always drawn to them. Not sure they'd go well in my yard but enjoy them just the same:)
