My First Time

My first time to participate in Lesley's signs, signs.

This is the sign in front of a haunted house not far from my house. It's in a 1920s school building that's next to a church and a graveyard. The school was used as a morgue after an influenza epidemic in 1929 left many people dead. Mysteriously, the deceased bodies disappeared and zombies took over the building and continue to live there today.

The official hair stylist for the zombies is also my hair stylist. This fact both fascinates and frightens me!

  9. Dear Donna,
Thanks for the comment on my family blog. You are sweet!
I just have my dung hoe gardening blog resting for a bit. Even my Dad can't comment or have access, so don't feel bad. :) I messed up my template as well and I am trying to find a way to fix it. If I can't, Then I will just start over.
Happy thanksgiving to you and the coo-coo kid.

  11. Donna -- that is so funny -- your hair looks great in the pictures of you i've seen (whatever that means). Is the history part (about it being a flu morgue) seriously true or is the whole thing made up?

  14. Now I'm not sure which part of this story is true or not. Beware of the hairstylist, she might like cutting your hair because it's close to your brain... isn't that what zombies eat? :)

  17. LOL. The zombies have a good hair stylist because your hair looks great to me!

Your post reminds me of a haunted house I visited when I was a kid.. Our neighbors were Catholic and there was an old house next to the church that was made over into a haunted house around Halloween. One year I went with the neighbors and that was the best haunted house ever.
