Some Days Are Tough

Some days are tough and other days are just about perfect, like the one that Phillip and his friend recently enjoyed at Meuer Farm. The photos are compliments of my lovely daughter-in-love.

That's a bottle of homemade root beer in Phillip's hand,
not a bottle of Miller High Life, in case you're wondering:)

It's always nice when a boy's dad
joins in the fun.

When your mom steps outside of her comfort
zone to shoot corn cobs with you, then
you know it's been a good day.

Hope you are all having a happy autumn.
Life is slowly getting back to normal around here.

  1. My grandson would love that corn cob shooting I suspect. Nothing like a good friend to share a day with.

  9. Loved every word and picture. I was going to say that I miss having kids to take to fun places......but I don't recall having ever taken mine to a pumpkin patch/farm/corn maze place even when they were little. Can I have a do-over?!

  12. Hello Donna, so good to see you posting.
I am mystified about the corn cobs. Do you shoot at them, or shoot them out of these contraptions? (obviously not something we do in Scotland!)

  20. Hi Donna,

No beets for you huh? :)

The family that plays together, stays together. That's a quote that keeps running through my mind as I see these cute photos. Kids grow up so fast. I am stressing out because Kiki is getting ready to leave the nest.

I hope you are having a good Autumn. I remember the wild turkeys you posted a while back. Maybe you can dress one for Turkey day this year. Ha ha.

  22. Hi;
I'm sorry you've been dealing with such difficulty. I have, too, and so I have shallowly avoided other situations. That be me. Anyhoo. I just wanted you to know I've been keeping an eye on you and I thought this was a very heart warming post. You've got tons of friends out there...
