In a matter of hours, we were at the beautiful Hotel Del Coronado drinking hot cider, soaking up all the history and enjoying all the blooms.
Carol at May Dreams Gardens is the gracious and lovely host of Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day. Be sure to visit her and see how you can join in and share what's blooming (or not blooming, as in my case) in your part of the world. It's fun, you'll enjoy it.
Oh yes, I prefer the second scene! Hope you are enjoying your stay in San Diego!
ReplyDeleteIt is crazy to see green grass and that 2nd photo has lots of green grass. It was -14 this morning. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteHappy bloom day! You seem to have found a new way to have "We can have flowers every month of the year" come true...
ReplyDeleteLove the photo in San Diego. I always find it surpising that we can start the day in the frozen north and a few hours later we can be somewhere warm and sunny.
ReplyDeleteI hope your trip was fun and that we get to see more pictures.
Love the pansies and the ornamental cabbage!
ReplyDeleteThat's how to get through winter, flee! :-)
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a fun trip. If you do the tourist things like the zoo & Sea World you should see some lovely plants...usually they are labelled.
ReplyDeleteWhat great lengths to which to go to have blooms, lol. Beautiful, just beautiful. Pansies/violas are my winter fav. Flowering cabbage/kale makes quite a show, too. I guess that is alyssum along the edges. All great.
ReplyDeleteOh I love that place! We didn't stay there but wandered all over it.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great trip.
(I left you a comment a day or so ago on your previous post)
I love that farm!
ReplyDeleteOh how funny this is. One minute your into the snow and (almost) the next your in this beautiful warm place.
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the fun you can imagine Donna. How long will you be gone for?
Sweet cold hugs from me (it's starting to snow as I'm writing this).
Have a wonderful time in sunny and warm San Diego! Sorry about my blog photos not loading. I don't know what could be wrong. But yesterday I had problems with Blogger not letting me comment on some blogs, so I just gave up. So far today, so good (but you're the first). So please try again and let me know if it's still a problem for you.
ReplyDeleteHI, Donna! Thank you for popping in .
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely blooms. I love pansies. That must be very cold in your place. At least you got out and enjoyed a warm and sunny place for a change. Here, today, it is 40 degrees C. It is so hot and the aircon has been running since morning.
Yes, we have Hellmann Mayonnaise here but I haven't tried it yet because I normally buy the Kraft. Love to try it one day.
I will tell my daughter of your visit in her blog. Thanks for spending time there. She will be glad of your visit.
Have a good day always.
Oh, how lovely, Donna ... do enjoy and pack plenty of warm sunshine for your return visit :) Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time and please bring the sunshine home with all those good stories and photos! Have a happy Christmas. gail
ReplyDeleteWhat a change ... they are both beautiful in their own way.
ReplyDeleteIn pictures, I really love snow....and that is a beautiful snow picture. In real life.....not so much.
ReplyDeleteI am having serious withdrawal symptoms of garden blogging. I HAD to stop by. Hope your Christmas is merry.
ReplyDeleteRosey
What a gorgeous pic of the ground, love the snow covering ... but I am sure the sun was a welcomed respite.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas ~

What a contrast that must have been - hurtled from winter to summer. We spent a few days in San Diego when we did a house exchange with a family from LA - loved it!
ReplyDeleteOur worms won't be near the surface now - we have frost at last.
How nice to escape the cold! I'm looking out the window right now to see fresh snow. Pretty, but too wet and cold for me. Believe me, Ohio is not usually warm enough for flowers all the way into December. We just got lucky this year. Those photos were taken December 3rd, and then we had a hard freeze that took them all down. Boohoo!
ReplyDeletethe flowers are so nice, where did you take those beautiful pics
ReplyDeletehappy days,
horsegirl
Happy Holidays Donna. I hope you had a good time in sunny San Diego.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time in the sun. We are headed to Texas for Christmas. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Donna. Thank you for your prayers and support. And thanks for being my first blogging buddy.
ReplyDeleteHi Donna!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely Christmas. Our Christmas was wet because it was showering the whole day.
Advance Happy New Year.
Thank you so much for the visit and comment.
Warm Hugs
