The Sharing of Blooms

Don't Know Much
About Irises.
But Know What
I Like.
And I Like These.

Driving Down A Country Road.
Came Upon This Field Of Flowers.
No House In Sight.
Running Wild In The Country, Perhaps?

Meet Miss Pinkie,
Not Her Real Name.
First Of The Shrub Roses
To Show A Bloom.

The Morning Glory Is Small
But Has Two Flowers.
Will It Climb The Tree?
Wait And See.

Lamium, 'Beacon's Silver'.
Some Sun, Some Shade,
Even Moisture.
It's Happy And It Shows.

  1. Morning! very nice prose. I will visit GG later after my busy morning chaufering kids around. I am supposed to be on a walk, right now, but I am still blogging around.
Rose photo is very pretty, thanks for sharing!

  3. I love those irises too! I love seeing flowers blooming with no gardener in sight! Sometimes along the freeway here it looks like someone sprinkled wildflower seeds in a big patch, because nothing else around is blooming.
Your shrub rose is really pretty!

  4. I will visit your link. I wish my morning glory would do something. I'm not even sure it came up through the other vines I planted it with. This hot weather is about to kill everything. Oh, you asked about the amber glass in my second photo. It's the ceiling fan pulls! I never realized they showed up. You've got quite an eye and caught it!

  5. Love the stand of white LA iris. I will check out Guerilla Gardeners. I don't think I've heard of them before.

  6. Thanks for stopping by and walking through the garden with me it's always more fun with company. I love the lamiun because it will grow in the shade (which I have plenty of)>

  8. Rosey Pollen - I enjoy walking and yet find every excuse in the world not to get out there and do it.

Lindalou - If the Beacon's Silver will grow here in WI, it'll grow in MI.

gardenerprogress/Catherine - I know what you mean about the freeway blooms. Sometimes they're so breathtaking that I wonder if they cause accidents from people gawking at the beauty.

Brenda - My MG vines seem to wilt in the sun and temps in the 80's. I thought MG's wanted lots of sun.

sweet bay - I didn't know they were LA Irises. Thanks for telling me. Did a little reading about them and found that they're a native American flower and grow well in all parts of the country.

Stella - The lamiun was planted this year, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that it does well.

ArtCricket2 - If our morning glory plants got together, we might have quite a show.

  9. I like all of the flowers and photos! I have some lamium, my son gabe me from his yard, that I keep in a certain area. It's a great bloomer.
